Leukaemia Foundation PhD Engineering College Scholarship


The Leukaemia Foundation Engineering College Scholarship provides support for the educational and professional development of researchers and other professionals undertaking a PhD.
We offer PhD scholarships of up to $40,000 pa. These awards are to support basic, applied and translational research in Australia into the causes, treatment and care of people with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders. Selections will be made by an independent panel of experts. Engineering College Scholarship will be awarded for up to three years subject to satisfactory annual progress.

Ph.D Engineering College Scholarships Programme in Statistics


The Engineering College Scholarships doctoral program in Bologna is ready to welcome foreign students.

The
Engineering College Scholarships doctoral program in statistics is primarily focused on training students to conduct research in any discipline statistics.
The program was designed to provide knowledge of statistics to a higher level and specialization in the following areas
:
  • methodology
  • bio-statistics
  • demography and social sciences
  • economics and econometrics

It is aimed at students intending to undertake a career in a university or research-oriented organization. It is 3 year programme, which includes both course attendance with the relevant exams, attendance at research seminars, and the completion of a thesis which reports original research, carried out by the candidate in the field of statistics.

D.G.E. Hall Engineering College Scholarship

SOAS pays tuition fees in full, a maintenance grant of approximately £4,200 supplemented by an arrival allowance of £800 to cover unusual one-off payments that scholars may have to meet on their arrival in the United Kingdom and a return economy-class air-fare home (capped at a maximum of £1,500).

ISH provides free accommodation together with a small contribution in food vouchers to be spent in the ISH restaurant. Finally, reimbursements will also be met for expenses relating to study travel, thesis costs and excess baggage on the return flight home. These will be capped at designated levels (totaling no more than £425) and their award will depend on submission of the appropriate receipts to the Scholarships Office at SOAS.

Candidate Criteria

  • Applicants must possess a good honours degree from a U.K. university or equivalent recognized by the School. Candidates in their final year of study for a first degree are invited to apply.
  • Open only to those holding a Burma/Myanmar passport.

Candidate Assessment

  • Candidates will be assessed on academic merit by an Advisory Panel consisting of three academic members, one from each Faculty.
  • The assessment of your application will be based on the information in your application. Selectors will be looking at the degree results and also at academic references, statement and other relevant information
